Mostly this was a lovely episode but um ... why couldn't Amy and Rory just, like, leave New York and get the Doctor to pick them up? That was frankly a weak plot hole that did a disservice to the work being done to get Amy and Rory to leave the Doctor naturally.

Also I hated seeing Amelia Williams on that tombstone with a fucking passion. I'm supposed to be moved by seeing the name of some other character on a tombstone? Oh okay. So that's how we remember Amy Pond: with the name the Doctor called her and her husband's name? She doesn't even get a middle name? OH OKAY.

I hated that too. Unless it was meant to remind us that she was going back to an era where she'd be constrained from being the Amy we know, in which case I actually hate it more.
