Life, the universe, and forced poetry.

Poetry. And this one is utter rubbish because I really didn't have an idea to write, but the idea is daily, so... *bangs head against wall*
I remember
sitting in McDonalds
facing one another over chips and coke
grease on my fingers and spotting my shirt
and I'm talking to you aloud
and you're saying something in response.
I wasn't paying attention
but I reply, something funny.
You laughing, and I look up to see you;
you are so unguarded when you laugh
everything is in your eyes.
Now
I glance down
stare blindly into my drink
say something to fill in the silence.
When I look up you're not there and
I crumple over the table;
for a moment you were there
I know you were
I had forgotten timepassed
I had forgotten you left me,
sitting in McDonalds with grease on my shirt
and the last traces of a smile,
still on my face.
I had a good afternoon today, spent it at McDonalds with Jenni and then went back to her house to watch some crappy yet funny American DVD. Um, Win a Date with Tad Hamilton. It was actually not bad, for a piece of American junk... it had its moments. And I really liked the guy, whatsisname, the good guy. Pete! That's him. he was gorgeous in an accessible way. So that was fun. We had a very long and rather innnnteresting talk, details of which I may post. Or may not. It depends on my mood.
Not, I think. Hohum.
But I have just been told three times in the past two days that "talking to people you don't know (ie net friends) is really wierd, Tui."
So guys, you're awesome. <3 that.

Date: 2004-09-30 09:40 pm (UTC)fantasysecret boyfriend. Don't tell anyone.I watched Win a Date With Tad Hamilton with my math team friends. This was us when the final scene rolled around:
"Oh, God. It's like that movie from the beginning."
"'Shouldn't you be off with that Hollywood guy?'"
"There's no way this can end good."
"Please, no."
And so on, until:
Topher Grace: "Will you dance with me?"
After which we screamed and booed and threw pillows at the TV. Fun stuff.
