Not a lot, really. Chocolate. Love.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
No idea. Oh, yeah, this really random film I can't remember the title of, some Australian thing I got out from the video store. It was really good, about two university couples- actually it's about four friends, I guess, or people who become friends by the end of the film, a lesbian couple and a straight couple. I jsut liked it because it didn't make a fuss about anything, it just was, which may be the best treatment of homosexuality possible.

I was seventeen, and i went to school and got given lots of chocolate and cakes and cards by my study class, who i <3 to death. *sobs all over them*

34. What kept you sane?
LJ and MSN and Double Study, not necessarily in that order.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Hmm. Um. Not sure. *thinks about it* Tobey Maguire is still the most accidentally hot thing on this planet (by which i mean he totally shouldn't be hot, I mean he just isn't pretty, but OMG he really is.) And Brad Pitt (speaking of which, can't WAIT till Boxing Day. Someone needs to come see Ocean's 12 with me. Any takers?)
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Civil Union Bill, Brash's Orewa speech, Bush, progressive taxes, Muslim scarves in French schools.

If you have important final exams and don't study, you get what you deserve. Also, bisexualit is more complicated than it sounds.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
"Lord Antony, bulied at school/get your own back now you are cool/or are you scared?"
But the way, parents totally suck- talking to
gianp for the first time in, well, a while that both of us were paying attention, a fairly rare state for myself and Gian, and along comes my father and KICKS ME OFF> Where was he yesterday evening when I was on till eleven doing basically NOTHING, huh?

Sweets, sexuality is more complex than it sounds, even before you start complicating it with the bi bit. All it means, though (if you're a serial monogamist like me), is that your field of choice is immeasurably wider when you are on the loose.
I remember when I slid quietly out of my closet, some of my friends were always "let's go out, we'll go to [insert nightclub du jour, you'll meet some nice guy and get laid". But it was never my scene, and I knew I wasn't completely gay because of my lifelong fascination with women's breasts ;-) Confusing times, fer shure. Just be yourself, be happy in yourself and the rest will follow (and that's easier than it sounds, I know) in time.
As for achievements, you got a job, you survived the year (in a country which leads the world in teen suicide), you're smart enough to know you screwed up with the exams, and you're smart enough not to do it again, you watched history being made with the CUB, there's any number of achievements if you look properly.
Remember, teenagers are supposed to screw up sometimes. It's how you gain all that wonderful experience and wisdom you get to pass on to your grandkids ;-)
Ciao bella

Date: 2004-12-15 05:53 pm (UTC)*mutters* You're way too right about the sexuality thing for comfort though... as for the "wider field," I'm not so sure... not everyone's very encouraging of bisexuality, of the gay girls I know, and of the straight boys I can't help wondering whether people really view bisexuality as distinct from lesbianism- if of course you're doing anything other than kiss your girlfriends in front of your boyfriend. I mean, that's PERFECTLY alright.
