Dec. 26th, 2004 01:38 pmThey're gone. They're gone they're gone they're FUCKING OUT OF HERE THANK GOD.
I refer of course to my parents. I will probably miss my siblings for the next eight days but WHO CARES NO FIGHTING!
So Christmas was okay, at least until just before I went to bed. >.< Anyway, I got up EXTREMELY EARLY OW because my youngest sister is eleven and, well, eleven and sleep and Christmas just do not go together. So we mucked around until the boys were approachable and then us four opened our stockigns togehter, which is a tradition. (In mine was an apple, an Almond Gold, socks [socks are cool, okay, especially when you have none as until yesterday I didn't.] and SELECTED WORKS OF LANGSTON HUGHES OKAY YAY!) Then we mucked aorund till my parents got up, set the table, ate breakfast, and did presents. Notables include a beautiful bag that my sister actually made. It's so cool. I would have a photo but my father took the digital camera but anyway just trust me it is awesome work. <3.
Also Miss New Zealand: Selected Works of Jenny Bornhaldt and Wild, which is Anne French's latest collection; also the Time-Traveller's Wife which is every bit as good as reviews suggest; a lot of very beautiful clothes which are all too big (and Paul Frank o.O O.o wtf?); The Longest Crossword in the World, um, thanks, hedley? ;) ; a book in French, a fantasy whose title translates as (I think) Atlantis: the children/sons of rays of gold; and Robbie Williams' Greatest Hits. *insanely amused* Rewi thought this would be my thing. he obviously hasn't worked out that I would never admit to a fondness for Robbie & had therefore been determinedly refusing to even look in the CD's direction every time I entered Sounds. Oh, and this lovely leather sponge bag or something will all the toilette stuff I'm going to need Down South packed by my grandmother... <3 <3 <3.
Anyway, I was fairly ecstatic with all of it (especially the poetry! Yay! I got poetry for Christmas!) so you know. I was also cheerful and nice. Yay. Anyway then we had the family lunch, which was, you know, exactly like any family Christmas Dinner ever is; then I got totally decimated at Five Hundred by my younger siblings. Then everyone went home and I devoured books in my bedroom and played with my sister and you know, just did Chritmassy stuff. *shrug*
I just found a note on the table. I have $70 for my groceries (for eight days, hello, I think I'll be cutting into my paycheck a little) and I also get to eat all the chocolates left in the house. >:D *opens a box of Roses*
Anyay. I desperately need to tidy this place and go food shopping and change sheets and do housewifelike stuff (o.O) so I'll shut up now. ;)

Date: 2004-12-26 01:03 am (UTC)What are you up to over the next couple of days? Only most of my "friends" are out of town and I was wondering if you wanted to do something...? If that sounds completely annoying and boring, don't worry. :D
