Scrubs is trying to kill me with the slash.

This is a Bad Thing. I think I am ill. I have slasher's disease.

*paranoid* I SEE SLASHED PEOPLE!

I didn't even notice it till a few episodes, I swear it... *crying*

But I NEED to be paranoid, because otherwise I might... slash something terrible...

Ahah, just thinking about terrible slash pairings my twisted brain came up with Holmes/Campbell. I DON'T KNOW WHY. YOU SEE< I NEED TO BE PARANOID AND NEVER LET MY GUARD DOWN

Antonio/Bassanio.

EVEN MRS CAMPION SAW IT. Kind of. ;)

I directed that a few aeons ago and tried real hard to play that side of it as unrequited love on Antonio's part i.e. Bass. was aware of it and played on it to get what he wanted, but he was strictly focussed on Portia. And then I cross-gendered Salanio and Solario [aka Salarino in some versions] (the Salads) and gave one of them (whichever is with him in the Gaol scene) an unrequited lust for Antonio, to which he was totally oblivious. Lotsa fun! (That was a production with cellphones and power suits and the Rialto Bar and Grill was their regular meeting place - I do love what you can do to Shakespeare ;-)

And you're right about what you can do to Shakespeare- it's so flexible that by now its less of a body of work, per se, than aa medium. I love watching productions for that reason, I guess, that you never know what's going to happen. Did you see Summer Shakespeare this year??

I didn't pick it up in this version... but yeah, that's because it's Ugly Shakespeare Company, not proper. And Mrs Campion said exactly the same thing about how every production is different... anyhoo.

We're still on Pride and Prejudice, which I'm loving (:D) but I'm still paranoid I don't understand it properly... oh well. Speaking of slash... the South African guy and that other guy, on Bro'Town. haha!
