I got a text from my brother Rewi this morning.

It says "Hey Tui this is Rewi i got a cellphone but you're not to tell mum or dad okay? I let Hedley and Freya use it. Hedley uses it to text his girlfriends but all freya wants to do is take it 2 school so she can look cool! When are you coming back up to Wellington?"

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I may soon have to go into mourning for the premature death of my brother: Killed by parents because he's too dumb to live.

I love him, and I've been missing him (which was why it was really cool to get a text, actually) and that's also why I DON'T WANT HIM TO DIE. Man.

I do not know. o.O He is actually really dumb about this kind of thing- I mean, he did super-well in his exams and stuff so we know he's not totally a fool (*secret pride omg*) - but, like, does he think no-one's going to notice, or something? And when;s he going to tell them, exactly? *headdesk*

Hahaha yea we found out the other day, I didn't think he tell EVERYONE though! Poor Rewi, I'd pay alot of money to be there when Heldy/Freya ask to use it in earshot of the rentals.

I dont know exactaly what kind it is but its not that bad, camera etc. Hes had it a couple of weeks, he bought it from a friend. I have no idea how much he uses it, 021 so not that much i recon.

Oh yeah... I talked to him earlier and apprently it was $30 from lexa, so you know, that's not a bad deal AT ALL, it's not as bad as I feared. ;)

Sawyer is my baby. I was devastated to learn he was a baddie - I thought he may have been burned by that woman, BUT NO. But he's still all soft and fuzzy, deep down...or, er, maybe just further down ;) I totes predicted that he didn't have the inhalers, and that Kate would punch him when he told her, though.

AND I WILL NOT EVEN STRIKE OUT THE FACT THAT I DROOLED FOR ABOUT HALF AN HOUR OVER THE SAWYER/KATE. OMGDAMN how could she go back to Jack after that?!?!

If you find any Sawyer/Sayid, rec it to me? I'll reciprocate in kind... :D

Well... wasn't the point of the flashback that he was going to rip them off and then didn't? And then decided that he was a real bad guy and keeps reading the letter to make himself rilly rilly guilty? (And omg, is real name is totally going to become a mystery on the level of Whatever The Fuck Kate Did.)

I don't think anyone who THINKS they're bad is REALLY bad. 'cause, you know, conscience, and stuff.

I don't know details, but I suspect it's the principle of the thing (i.e. getting one without asking) that will cause the trouble.

My parents just aren't super-cool with it. Thing is, if he'd waited for, say, six months and said "Hey, can I get a cellphone? I can get one really cheap and I'll pay all associated costs" they mihgt have said yes- or they might not have. The thing is that they just don't think it's necessary for kids to have phones, rather than they think it's bad, per se. Also, my other brother and sister are 14 and nearly 12, and they do think they're a bit young.

And Lucy's right about the principle- that's going to get him into an awful lot of trouble.

Of course, what he could do is later on, ask "Can I get a cellphone?" and if they say yes, pull it out thenext day and pretend he just got it- apparently it was only $30 so, you know, that's a LOT better than I feared. ;)

My Dad bought me a cellphone when I was 15. So that I could go out and still be in contact. Y'know, the whole 'for your safty' idea.

my, parents did the same when I was 14 - they worried about me - I didn't actually want one! - still, 'for your saftey' is always a good reason for parents - maybe Rewi could use a 'so I can tell you where I am" reason for getting one - or a 'so you can ring me when you need to' ?
