Letting your flatmate use your computer, only to realise you have explicit McKay/Sheppard open in Firefox? One of those definitive Mintie moments.
(I got there in time, fortunately, but this is one of the flatmates that still likes me, I don't wanna endager that.)

Date: 2007-07-17 09:56 am (UTC)You also may be amused by the fact that we ordered Hell tonight and it took so damn long to get here (one and a half hours - the first guy got lost, ended up in Lyttleton, and they had to send another) that we got our entire order doubled, and free, and the promise of tokens for free pizza to be sent to our address later this week. I would totally accept one-and-a-half-hour delivery times every time if it meant this amount of largesse. Mind you, the fact that I drank three beers in that timespan may have contributed to my acceptance. (If you want to know why, it was because Mike's parents gave us some really deeply shitty beer, and I embarked on a scientific experiment to find out how many you had to drink before it didn't taste like ass. Answer: more than four. I wasn't going further.)

Uh, how about you tell me your favourite kind of crack-addled AU and I like you to it? it would be EASY.
Mmmmmmm Hell's! How the hell do you end up in Lyttleton, though? Curlett's is like a major road. (http://frostfire.killerstar.net/stories/hostagemajor.html)

Date: 2007-07-18 06:50 am (UTC)I DO NOT KNOW. But it got us free pizza, so, whatever, it works for me.
Um, crack-addled AU? I generally go for the apocalyptic or semi-apocalyptic, but only when it's a reasonably happy ending, or the hope thereof. Like, bands of freedom fighters? Big kind. Or any sort of alternate history AU, but you knew that. Which is why Peshawar Lancers (alternate history + post-apocalypse + India) is like THE BEST BOOK EVER. Pa-moyemu, of course.

Date: 2007-07-17 08:32 pm (UTC)My husband once came across some SV Clark/Lex fic that I'd accidentally left open on my laptop. Thankfully, though, the one I opened wasn't overtly smutty/slashy or the embarrassment would have killed me since he'd never let me live it down. Soon after, I locked every bit of fic on my laptop ;P
Thanks for the fic recs, there's a couple there I haven't read!

Date: 2007-07-18 04:13 am (UTC)It's kind of odd, really, because it turned out we were both incredibly steeped in internets fandom subculture etc., and you know? It's not like that's something you announce on the roommate matching form.
