Letting your flatmate use your computer, only to realise you have explicit McKay/Sheppard open in Firefox? One of those definitive Mintie moments.
(I got there in time, fortunately, but this is one of the flatmates that still likes me, I don't wanna endager that.)

Uh, how about you tell me your favourite kind of crack-addled AU and I like you to it? it would be EASY.
Mmmmmmm Hell's! How the hell do you end up in Lyttleton, though? Curlett's is like a major road. (http://frostfire.killerstar.net/stories/hostagemajor.html)

Um, crack-addled AU? I generally go for the apocalyptic or semi-apocalyptic, but only when it's a reasonably happy ending, or the hope thereof. Like, bands of freedom fighters? Big kind. Or any sort of alternate history AU, but you knew that. Which is why Peshawar Lancers (alternate history + post-apocalypse + India) is like THE BEST BOOK EVER. Pa-moyemu, of course.
