I'm trying to give more to charities this year and the easiest way I could think to do it was to give a small sum (as well as a physical present, because um, my sister wouldn't understand ;)) to everyone who has a birthday. Anyway, my sister's birthday is on Monday and I was thinking of giving to the New Zealand Dyslexia foundation, because she's mildly dyslexic and I like to make it relevant to people's interests. So, basically: anyone know anything about the NZDF? I'd like to avoid them if they're widely known to be crooks or something. Alternatively, if anyone has any experiences with them, I'd love to hear about those too so I can write to her and tell her a bit about them.

Date: 2008-04-25 09:31 am (UTC)I ended up ringing her and she told me she wanted me to donate to the FAJSH Charity for Teens in Need. *snorts* Or the SPCA or an Autism charity. Which is funny because I don't know, I hadn't been thinking of her as being that socially aware of charities, but I'm glad she is.

I LOL'd at that.
I don't know if she'd appreciate decent perfume, tbh, and also I'd be really concerned about buying people perfume they haven't tried, because different perfumes will interact differently with someone's individual body chemistry. Try some smelly stuff from Lush instead.
